Training Course on Economic Valuation and Sustainable Financing
The Regional Scientific and Technical Committee recommended that a Training Course on Economic Valuation and Sustainable Financing be held as part of the South China Sea Training Programme. Kasetsart University has been selected as the Implementing Entity for this course. International travel has been organised for participants and resource persons by the Project Co-ordinating Unit, and Kasetsart University has organised twin-share accommodation for participants at the Ban-Thaihad Resort. Invited participants are encouraged to contact the government nominated member of the RTF-E in their respective countries for further information regarding the national level expectations of participants in this workshop. 1 week (24th-29th March 2008) Duration of National Seminars 1-2 days ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Report of the Regional Task Force on Economic Valuation The Regional Task Force on Economic Valuation has recently considered and commented on the desired content for this training course. They also commented on potential participants, possible implementing entities, and how materials prepared by the group can be used as resource materials in this training course. Three proposals have been received for this course and circulated amongst members of the Regional Scientific and Technical Committee. A proponent has been selected subject to revision of original proposal.
